Our mission

The Kággaba people, or Kogui as we know them, like the Muisca, belong to the Chibchan language family. They are the "guardians of the world's harmony" and have come to this territory precisely for that purpose: to offer their services as a bridge to spirituality, within the framework of their worldview. Their actions are based on the sacred discourse that comes from their ancestors, from a remote past that is renewed by bringing the Law of Being into the present and imbuing with wisdom those who, with open minds, come into contact with them.

Several years ago, a Kogui mamo felt the call of the Law of Origin, which told him he should settle in the Cundiboyacense highlands. He arrived at a place near the La Candelaria desert in Ráquira; there he established a community and brought the Law to the mestizo Muisca people who lived in the area. He fulfilled his mission until he returned to Sé. This was Mama Luca, the father-in-law of Mama Awisen, who took up the legacy of his wife's lineage and settled in a hamlet in Saboyá with his family to continue the mission.

Awisen. I was born in Simka. We come from the mountains and have been in Cundinamarca for five years. Mama Luca was my wife's grandfather. He came here to revive the memory, restore the wisdom, and teach it, because he was invited by the ancestors. He stayed here for nine years and then went to be with Sé (he died). My father-in-law, Mamo Senshina, took the materials Mamo Luca left behind and continued his work. He continued in Saboyá. I am a Mamo from the Sierra. I visited Mamo Senshina and consulted my zhatkua (divination sign) and saw that my duty was to stay here in this territory. After five years of fulfilling the Law of Sé with all its protocols, I was guided to Chiquinquirá, to the place where I would deliver the wisdom.

I bought a piece of land. I didn't know why I was buying this land. I walked around here and saw waterfalls and caves. There, the Chibcha culture hid its masks, so I bought this land. We play the music of Origin and perform Alunazhiguashi and Zhalagueshi (Aganguashi and Zhonagueshi). It means ordering thoughts.

We perform sacred dances to heal what has been afflicted and tainted by negative thoughts in nature. We fulfill this mission. I travel to the mountains every three months. We are connected to Mother Earth and the spiritual world. Nature is a being like us. If we respect it, it will respect us. It nourishes us, and we nourish it in return. It is mutual respect.

We all use cell phones, watches, and computers. So we must unite and learn Alunazhiguashi and Zhalagueshi (Aganguashi and Zhonagueshi). We teach this ritual. If you don't cleanse your mind, you are lost. If you remain in the material world, you are lost. You must believe in the beings of nature. I am the bridge of wisdom. I only serve to teach what I know.
