INTERVIEW WITH MAMO AWISEN
I want to introduce you to Mama Awisen of the Kogui tribe. For 30 years I've had this desire to meet the Kogui, and this year I met Mamo Awisen, who told me she would very much like to visit the Sierra Nevada in Spain because she comes from the Sierra Nevada in Colombia. We experienced two very beautiful Alunazhiguashi and Zhalagueshi ceremonies, and to help people understand, I want to ask Mama Awisen,
Who are the Kogis and who are the Mamos?
Good morning, my name is Awisen…A is the word, Wi is life, Sé is the creator mother, and N is the one who came to give the word and teach. We are an ancient tribe that has been fulfilling the Law of Origin, the Law of Java Sé (creator of all). This law is a millennia-old law. It has 18 mandates or commandments. With this law, we came here (to this physical world) to care for the earth.
I am a spiritual master. My master, my superior master, is a Kivui. His superior master is a Nuakivui. The latter live in caves and in ceremonial centers located next to the caves. They have spiritual masters who are not physical beings (but spiritual ones) such as Mukueke and Java Senukuan.
We Kogi continue to uphold and obey the rules that make up the Law. The Law is connected to the music that the Mamos and Sagas sing and play. The sacred dances that sustain the world and the universe, the animals, the insects, the fish, the water, and everything that exists in the universe are still performed. These dances maintain the balance of all things. Approximately 200 Mamos and 200 Sagas continue to uphold this Law. These Mamos care for the spiritual teachers who reside in the territory; this care is reciprocal.
What is the Kogi's mission? Why are they traveling to Europe more? Is it related to the world situation?
There are four worlds.
In the first group are those who continue to follow the ancient Law of Origin, which was given to us humans when we arrived on Earth from the spiritual world. We came to all the territories of the world in pairs to care for everything. This Law was given to us in sacred symbols on a red cloth and was also sealed in our thoughts (in our minds). This law is followed by the Kogui and also the Wiwa. They have different languages, but the observance is the same, and the Law is the same.
We are traveling through Europe and America because Mukueke and Senukuan (spiritual parents) told us in the zatkua (an object we use to communicate with our spiritual parents) that we must travel to different parts of the world where different languages are spoken. We must teach how to order thoughts during Alunazhiguashi or Aganguashi. We must teach how to purify thoughts. Thoughts come very pure from Aluna (the spiritual place where true strength, the energy of fulfillment and care resides). Pure thought comes from there to here. We use thought. For us, every so often (9 days, 30 days), thought must be purified.
We Mamos continue to abide by this rule. I can't say that all Kogi people continue to abide by it; that's not the case. Only we Mamos continue to abide by it. What we read in Mukueke's message is that humanity has become sick in its mind. Everything has become sick.
¿Why did he get sick?
Because humanity became very materialistic. It forgot that deep spiritual connection. Many wise elders from every language, from every territory, are no longer alive. That essence of connecting and caring for everything has been lost. Now Ubatashi is very happy. Who are Ubatashi? They are beings who live in the fourth world. They are beings with skin as hard as stone, blue eyes, and they are cannibals. For them, plants and air are food. If they come here, everything will end. In their world, they have their spiritual nourishment.
Humanity is becoming like those beings as they kill their brothers and sisters. Humanity is destroying the nine women who are Java Senenulang, Mother Earth. Humanity extracts intimate parts from Mother Earth (mining).
We Kogi were confined to the Sierra Nevada, fulfilling the rules, the Law, the 18 commandments. But the message arrived telling us that we must carry our word to our younger brothers so they can understand everything. We must teach the music of Origin, we must teach Alunazhiguashi, which is the true purification of the mind. First, the mind is purified, then the house of thoughts, and then the body. We must order these three parts of our being. If these parts are not ordered, we cannot take care of anything in this world. Today, people want a cleansing, a balm for their mental or physical health problems. But this has no effect.
The memory of everything resides in every lagoon and every spring in the world. The memories of the universe are archived in these places. We must organize, cleanse, and order our thoughts in order to understand, to be able to read these sacred, golden memories stored in all these sacred spaces.
That's why we're traveling. We've traveled to Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Italy, and Spain) and almost all of the Americas. We must travel to the Himalayas, where there's a tribe that also holds these memories, and it's important to speak with them to reconnect with the wisdom, share it, and teach all of humanity.
In the second world are the people of the sun: they are the inhabitants of Europe, Asia and part of South America.
The Zemá giants are also negative beings; they are arrogant, cause problems and conflicts, kill each other, and commit acts of incest. They do not listen to the advice of elders. They decide and do as they please without following any advice or rules. They are already here on Earth, but not physically. They have entered people as an energy. They have enslaved humanity.
Scientists and psychologists search for the root causes of our problems. Sometimes they blame water, air, or food pollution. But the main cause is the disorder of our minds and thoughts. When we order our thinking, we order our speech, our hearing, our sexuality, our sight; our behavior, our territory, and our language become orderly. That is what we are teaching.
Spanish is not my language. In my language, each word can have up to nine different meanings. I do my best to speak well and convey my message effectively. We invite humanity to join in this teaching, this profound spiritual education. It is not politics, it is not civic education; it is an education directly related to spiritual parents, to the spiritual world (from which we come).
If each of us recognized the value we have, the value of our thoughts, our bodies, and our animals, we would be taking care of all beings and the elements. We have three stones where we make fire. We have a house of mud and straw, and we sleep on the ground, directly on top of Mother Earth. Sometimes we also sleep in hammocks made of fique fiber, which we make ourselves with a cotton sheet.
When someone comes and sees how the Kogi live, they think they are poor, but they are not poor. They are organized in their minds, in their thinking. If humanity were to change its consciousness—if it were to open its eyes and ears—then it would reflect and begin to take care of everything. If humanity were to change its consciousness, negative beings like Ubatashi and Zema would go far away. But humans don't want to understand. That is why we have to make a great effort so that everyone understands.
If they don't understand, the sun will heat up. The entire universe will heat up, not just our planet. That's why we must work together to save humanity.
What is zhalagueshi (zhonagueshi)?
We are receiving. From plants we receive food. We receive water to drink. We receive air to breathe. We receive fire to cook and keep warm. From the sun we receive its heat and light to live.
Our third commandment of the Law stipulates that we must purify ourselves regularly. We purify the two energies of thought: positive and negative, during Alunazhiguashi or Aganguashi. The positive energies of the thoughts and memories that we purify during this meditation go to Aluna, the spiritual world of Se, the creative source. The negative energies become nourishment for nature and the elements; they are like compost, nature's fertilizer. We also nourish the spiritual parents with these two energies.
Humanity has changed. We don't admit that we think, act, and behave negatively. Negative energy is present in our lives. We don't want to admit that this energy exists and that we also need to feed it because we use it (to stay up late, to have physical strength...). We only focus on positive energy, and that further exacerbates the Ubatashi.
If we don't order our thoughts, everything is disordered: the body, the land, people, animals… People think everything is in order: buildings, cars… But it isn't. There is disease everywhere. Humanity is insatiable: it wants more resources, which it takes from Mother Earth, and it wages wars for them. This saddens us greatly. We have spoken at length. We want someone in the world to listen, for countries to hear our sacred words.
Is the work of the Aganguashi reciprocity?
Yes. The spiritual parents of all that exists, every living being and element of nature, give us what we need. During this ceremony we practice, we return our energy and our gratitude to them. Humanity has forgotten this reciprocity. That is why the five diseases and the beings of Ubatashi appear, and why we find ourselves surrounded by very strong energies.
Therefore, I invite all those who wish to reconnect with our original Law, who wish to shift their consciousness, who wish to heal, who wish for a better world, to participate in our Aganguashis. We are Mamos and Sagas guided by the wise ones from the ceremonial centers.
